On April 23, the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show will kick off. This year's show will also witness the premiere of multiple heavyweight new cars. From Zeekr's full-size flagship to Letao's flagship SUV, to the debut of NIO's Firefly. The new forces in car manufacturing are poised to unveil their new technologies and models. Next, let's take a look at which new cars will be making a big splash at the Shanghai Auto Show.

Letao L90 - The second model from Letao, the Letao L90, is expected to make its debut at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show. Positioned as a pure electric large SUV for the family flagship market, it is expected to go on sale in the third quarter of 2025 with a price range of 250,000 to 400,000 yuan (including battery leasing options). Based on NIO's NT3.0 platform, the Letao L90 will offer single-motor and dual-motor configurations. Battery options are expected to be the same as the Letao L60, with 60kWh and 85kWh battery packs available. With a 900V high-voltage architecture, it supports 5C supercharging and battery swapping technology, offering single-motor (218kW) and dual-motor (400kW+) versions. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in as little as 4 seconds, and with an 85kWh battery, it has a CLTC range of 700 km. In terms of intelligence, it adopts a pure vision solution (12 cameras + Orin X chip), comes standard with air suspension and 20-inch wheels, and features a multi-screen interior with electric side steps. The car's core selling points are its “large space + battery swapping”, directly competing with Li Auto's L9.

Zeekr 9X - Zeekr's new large SUV, the Zeekr 9X, will make its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show in April and is expected to go on sale in the third quarter. Notably, the Zeekr 9X will be Zeekr's first hybrid model, featuring the Zeekr super electric hybrid technology for the first time. It plans to launch the Zeekr 9X Guanghui variant, which is expected to have a price tag of over one million yuan and will form the “Guanghui Family” along with the Zeekr 009 Guanghui. With dimensions of 5290×2040×1860mm and a wheelbase of 3220mm, it offers 6/7-seat layouts. The Guanghui version features a 4-seat black and gold paint design, equipped with 23-inch wheels and lidar. Power options include conventional pure electric and the newly developed super electric hybrid technology. The Zeekr super electric hybrid technology combines the advantages of pure electric, hybrid, and extended range, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of around 3 seconds, a pure electric range of 400 km, and a comprehensive range of over 1500 km. In terms of intelligence, it is equipped with dual NVIDIA Thor chips (2000 TOPS of computing power) and an L3 autonomous driving system, supporting mapless urban navigation. The interior features dual 17.6-inch 3K screens, a 50-inch AR-HUD, and rear entertainment screens, with standard zero-gravity seats and a car refrigerator. The car directly competes with Rolls-Royce Cullinan, aiming to disrupt the ultra-luxury market with the concept of “technology equality”.

Zeekr 007GT - As Zeekr's second shooting brake, the Zeekr 007GT is officially positioned as a “tech shooting brake”. The new car comes in three models with a price range of 202,900 to 232,900 yuan, and a limited-time offer price of 199,900 to 229,900 yuan. It can be seen as the shooting brake version of the Zeekr 007. The new car uses an 800V platform and comes standard with lidar. In terms of appearance, the front of the Zeekr 007GT is similar to that of the Zeekr 007, but the overall style is more sporty. The front bumper has added air intakes on both sides, and the shape of the front bumper is more exaggerated. The headlights still use the STARGATE smart light curtain, which can display different light patterns, and the roof is equipped with lidar. The new car has dimensions of 4864mmX1900mmX1460mm, an optional air suspension body height of 1445mm, and a wheelbase of 2925mm. In terms of power, according to previous Ministry of Industry and Information Technology filings, the Zeekr 007GT will use the 800V platform and offer single-motor and dual-motor options. AITO 06 - AITO's second luxury sedan, the AITO 06, will also make its debut at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show. The new car has already started pre-sales on March 27 with a starting price of 215,900 yuan. High-level autonomous driving remains a highlight of the AITO 06, which will be equipped with 27 autonomous driving sensors including a 192-line lidar and the Huawei Kunpeng ADS 3.0 system. In terms of power, the AITO 06 offers both pure electric and extended range options. The pure electric model uses a universal 800V high-voltage platform with a maximum CLTC range of 650 km. The extended range version is equipped with a 1.5T engine, with a WLTC pure electric range of up to 170 km. Overall, the AITO 06 has obvious advantages, with the in-depth empowerment of three giants: Changan, Huawei, and CATL, allowing it to achieve technological leadership among its peers. Similarly, the AITO 06 will also face pressure. Especially in the 250,000 yuan price range, there are many strong competitors, such as the Tesla Model 3. In short, the AITO 06 needs to stand out among many models, which poses certain challenges.

ARCFOX T1 - Positioned as a small SUV, the ARCFOX T1 will make its official debut at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show. As a brand-new model, the ARCFOX T1 adopts the family's latest design language, with a relatively rounded visual effect. Currently, the price range of the new car has not been announced, but as all models under ARCFOX are currently on sale at reduced prices, the price of this car is expected to be within 200,000 yuan.

Li Auto i8 - As the second model of Li Auto's pure electric platform and the first SUV, the Li Auto i8 is positioned as a mid-to-large six-seat pure electric SUV. With dimensions of 5100mm×2000mm×1800mm and a wheelbase of 3100mm, it adopts a three-row six-seat layout with 2+2+2 seating. Based on a new 800V high-voltage platform, the Li Auto i8 comes standard with a dual-motor four-wheel-drive system, with a combined maximum power of 400kW (approximately 544 horsepower) and a combined torque of 542 Nm, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 5.5 seconds. It is equipped with CATL's Kirin battery and a 102.7kWh battery pack, providing a CLTC pure electric range of up to 710 kilometers. According to Li Auto's plan for 2025, it will establish a complete product matrix consisting of 5 extended-range models, 1 super flagship MEGA, and 5 pure electric models. Among them, the “i” series will cover multiple models such as i6, i7, i8, and i9, catering to different price ranges and fully meeting the diverse needs of family users.

AITO M8 - Positioned as a mid-to-large SUV, the AITO M8 has already started pre-sales with a pre-sale price of 368,000 to 458,000 yuan and is expected to be launched within April. Compared to the M9, which has a more executive style, the M8 is more oriented towards family use scenarios, directly targeting its long-time rival Li Auto. Positioned as a mid-to-large extended-range SUV, the AITO M8 has dimensions of 5190mmX1999mmX1795mm and a wheelbase of 3105mm, which is 40mm shorter in length and 5mm shorter in wheelbase compared to the AITO M9. In terms of configuration, the AITO M8 features a 6-seat layout, HarmonyOS cabin, and Huawei's high-level intelligent driving system. In terms of power, it offers CLTC pure electric ranges of 201 km and 310 km, with comprehensive ranges of 1405 km and 1526 km respectively. Equipped with front and rear dual motors and a 1.5T range extender, the system has a combined power of 392 kW. After AITO M9 secured the sales championship of luxury SUVs priced above 500,000 yuan, Thalys and Huawei have expanded their territory to the 400,000 yuan range. However, whether they can replicate the sales success of AITO M9 remains to be seen.

Firefly - As the first model of NIO's third brand, Firefly, it will make its debut at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show. Positioned as a smart electric high-end mini-car brand, the first model is also named Firefly, with a pre-sale price starting at 148,800 yuan and is expected to be officially launched in April 2025. As a pure electric mini-car, the Firefly's design is indeed distinctive. The overall design of the front end is relatively boxy, featuring a closed design. The headlights consist of three circular rings, which are quite unique when lit. In terms of dimensions, the car measures 4003 mmX1781mmX1557mm with a wheelbase of 2615mm. In terms of power, the Firefly will be equipped with a rear-wheel-drive motor produced by NIO Power Technology (Hefei) Co., Ltd. New Bridge Branch, with a maximum power of 105 kW. At the same time, the car will be equipped with a 42.1kWh battery pack, providing a CLTC pure electric range of 420 kilometers. Compared to other premium mini-cars, the Firefly supports battery swapping, and its level of intelligence will be a product advantage. It is worth noting that the current market performance and acceptance of competing models like MINI and smart are not high, and the Firefly is mainly focused on the European market. Currently, there is still great uncertainty about its future market performance.

Dark Blue S09 - At the Shanghai International Auto Show on April 23, the Deep Blue S09 will officially start pre-sales. According to Deep Blue CEO Deng Chenghao, the pre-sale price of the new car is expected to be between 300,000 and 350,000 yuan. Positioned as a family large six-seat smart flagship SUV, the new car will adopt an extended-range power solution and offer a “2+2+2” six-seat layout. In terms of size and product positioning, its main competitors are undoubtedly Li Auto's L9 and AITO's M9. The new car has dimensions of 5205mmX1996mmX1800mm and a wheelbase of 3105mm. In terms of power, the car will be equipped with Deep Blue's Super Extended Range 2.0 technology, consisting of a new Blue Whale HE1.5T super high-pressure direct injection hybrid-dedicated range extender and a dual-motor four-wheel-drive system, with a total motor power of up to 362 kW, equivalent to about 485 horsepower, comparable to a V8 gasoline engine. In addition to the dual-motor four-wheel-drive version, the Deep Blue S09 will also offer a more affordable single-motor rear-wheel-drive version, which is equipped with a 231 kW rear single motor. It is worth mentioning that the price of around 350,000 yuan is equivalent to buying an L9 at the price of an L8. However, whether this brand can support this price depends on the acceptance of consumers.
