The 13th GSCC Green Shipping Technology China Summit was successfully concluded in Shanghai on September 26-27. As an advanced enterprise in the production of the maritime industry, G&O Maritime Maritime Group made a strong appearance and shared the research results of various brands under the maritime group on future fuel issues with a group of industry partners. As a representative of the maritime group, Sales Director Rene Dalgaard Kristensen expressed his expectations for the Chinese market and looked forward to establishing closer ties with potential partners in China in the future projects and alternative fuel markets.

"We know that the green development of the maritime industry requires collaboration from all of us to achieve the goal of reducing carbon dioxide emissions. We are ready for cooperation, and we believe that the Chinese market is ready too," said Rene, expressing his positive outlook on future cooperation with the Chinese market at the summit.

G&O Maritime Maritime Group

- Pioneer and Driver of the Maritime Industry

At the summit, Rene delivered a fascinating keynote speech on "Maritime Brand House - Preparing for Future Fuels," grandly introducing the research results of various brands under the maritime group on future fuel issues to a group of industry partners. "We are a maritime subsystem supplier group dedicated to developing high-quality products to help customers achieve a green transition in the maritime industry," Rene said, explaining that each brand in the group has a long and proud history. Today, as a group, the brands are jointly tackling the challenges of the future of the maritime industry, continuously launching more diverse products and more competitive solutions through sharing resources and expertise. Among them:

Pres-Vac Engineering is renowned for providing comprehensive vacuum/pressure valves, breather valves, safety valves, and tank management equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of ships. Its supporting solutions include preventing excessive pressure or vacuum, preventing fires and leakage risks, venting exhaust gas, and reducing emissions.

G&O Compensators can effectively reduce or even eliminate vibration sources, addressing issues such as limited diesel engine performance, cracking, decreased mechanical strength, abnormal wear of rotating mechanical parts, and electrical component failures. They can also eliminate destructive vibrations in two-stroke engines or propellers, improving operational flexibility, reducing maintenance costs, lowering fuel consumption, and enhancing crew health overall.

Hans Jensen Lubricators' engine cylinder lubrication system pushes the boundaries of cylinder lubrication solutions for large two-stroke marine engines, significantly reducing cylinder oil consumption and improving engine condition, thereby supporting the transition to green shipping by effectively extending the life of cylinder liners and sleeves.

Atlas Incinerators are designed for simplicity and ease of operation, not only solving common maintenance issues such as filters and exhaust fans but also ensuring uninterrupted incineration of slops 24/7 throughout the year. They are known as one of the most reliable and cost-effective incinerators on the market, featuring a container-mounted silencer to meet low noise level requirements in offshore living quarters or drilling platforms.

G&O Bioreactors' sewage treatment system effectively treats greywater and blackwater from any vessel or offshore facility. Utilizing a submerged fixed-film bacterial principle, the system requires no filters, membranes, or chemicals and is easily installed. It can be retrofitted into a small container, making it ideal for marine and offshore operations.

HECO International's diesel piston rod stuffing box is designed to keep two-stroke engines running smoothly on ships worldwide. As the world's first brand to invent replaceable scraper rings, HECO International's precision design requires ultra-high precision mold shapes in manufacturing.

Today, G&O Maritime Maritime Group has nine offices worldwide, including Shanghai, with agents in 40 countries and regions, providing comprehensive support to customers in achieving green shipping.

"It was exciting to showcase our group at the China Green Ship Technology Conference. I always get a bit nervous before a speech, but it was comforting to stand in front of over 300 people representing the G&O Maritime Group brand. This is because I believe in and am proud of our products," said Rene when talking about his experience at the GSCC.

Looking forward to partnering with the Chinese market

- Creating a green future for the maritime industry together

Rene emphasized that G&O Maritime Maritime Group has consistently focused on reducing carbon emissions from ships, improving the operational efficiency of methanol valves, enhancing ship propulsion systems, and optimizing wastewater and waste disposal. From small components to large cabin equipment development and production, from fuel container layout and vibration compensator use to incineration and other aspects, each brand under the group spares no effort to innovate processes and share new discoveries and knowledge to achieve green global shipping.

When talking about the outlook for the Chinese market and cooperation with Chinese counterparts, Rene was optimistic: "We have high expectations for the Chinese market. In the coming years, there will be many new shipbuilding projects, and more customized projects using alternative fuels. We see potential partners in the alternative fuel market and various other markets. Potential products in the alternative fuel market may include Pres-Vac pressure breather valves for methanol or ammonia fuel ventilation, compensators to reduce vibrations when switching from heavy fuel oil (H.F.O) to methanol, or engine cylinder lubrication systems to adapt to different environments within the cylinder liner. We know that the green development of the maritime industry requires collaboration from all of us to achieve the goal of reducing carbon dioxide emissions. We are ready for cooperation, and we believe that the Chinese market is ready too."
