At present, the top domestic mobile phone manufacturers have basically unveiled their annual trump cards, and the competition among high-end flagship camps has officially transitioned to the next stage. However, Huawei remains unmoved, with no preheating or leaks from the official side. Have you noticed that Huawei and Apple are somewhat similar in this regard? That is, before the launch of a new device, the official side rarely participates, and leaks are mainly from third parties. For Huawei, the most that has happened is an inadvertent leak of the new device's appearance by a senior executive. For more in-depth information, there is no sign of the official side.
The official low profile naturally gives more opportunities for third-party involvement. Well-known leakers have recently given obvious hints, claiming that both Honor and vivo have adopted the latest domestic Visionox F1 luminescent material screen on their latest top-tier flagship devices. As for who the so-called "high-end new flagship that those who know will understand" is, those with a bit of knowledge won't guess wrong; it's naturally the Huawei Mate 70 series, with a release date set for the end of November, roughly around the 25th, based on personal speculation.
Regarding the quality of this screen, Visionox has provided a detailed introduction at the conference. In summary, it offers a longer lifespan and efficiency, more impressive and accurate display quality, and stronger eye protection effects. For example, the official claims that the screen can enhance visual effects through superior image fineness and clarity, whether at low or high brightness. Excellent screen hardware is already present, and Honor and vivo have already made good demonstrations. With Huawei's powerful optimization and adaptation capabilities, the screen display effect of the Mate 70 series should not disappoint.
Previously, alleged real images of the Mate 70 series have been leaked online. Although the screen content is pixelated, three punch-holes are still visible, most likely for the Pro and above models (the standard version should maintain a single punch-hole design). 3D facial recognition is definitely included. Previous online rumors suggested that the Mate 70 standard version would also support satellite calls, but personally, I find this unlikely.
Everyone knows that the most important aspect of the Mate 70 is not its hardware but Huawei's significant investment in developing the native HarmonyOS. Its rapid development speed will surely surprise competitors. Due to its unique circumstances, Huawei has had to accelerate progress in this area, and many domestic software vendors have been quite cooperative. Currently, tens of thousands of applications have been listed on the official software store, basically meeting the daily use requirements of a new system.
Regarding the price of the new device, while some believe it will follow the trend and increase, I personally think the Mate 70 series is more likely to maintain the same starting price as the previous generation. This can ensure new device sales and facilitate the rapid expansion of the native HarmonyOS ecosystem. To be honest, I'm losing interest in iPhone launches, but the Mate 70 series launch is quite anticipated.
I believe everyone here is also looking forward to the arrival of Huawei's annual flagship.
