The highly anticipated Zunjie S800 has finally made its debut and officially started pre-sales, priced at 1 to 1.5 million yuan, with a deposit of 20,000 yuan! This is a flagship sedan and the first model from Zunjie, an ultra-luxury automotive brand resulting from the collaboration between Huawei and JAC Motors. Previously, the officials revealed that the new car would be positioned as a million-yuan product, targeting flagship products like Rolls-Royce and Maybach.
In terms of appearance, the real Zunjie S800 is similar to the rendered images previously exposed online. It adopts a closed front design with C-shaped headlights featuring a four-horizontal and two-vertical structure, combined with a large chrome-plated mesh lower grille, giving it a luxurious look. Notably, Zunjie S800 does not use a hood ornament design but instead applies a carved luminous emblem, highlighting the characteristics of a new energy vehicle.
On the sides, the Zunjie S800 adopts a two-tone design favored by Maybach and Rolls-Royce, with a silver-top and purple-bottom color scheme that exudes "nobility." Coupled with 21-inch "large biscuit" wheels, it gives off a sense of sophistication. In terms of details, the Zunjie S800 integrates a starry effect inside the door handles, symbolizing "holding the stars," which is poetic and exquisite.
At the rear, the Zunjie S800 adopts a through-type nebula scroll taillight design. However, there's more to it: dotted light sources form a dazzling "star river" within the through-type taillights, giving it a premium feel.
Regarding the interior, the officials have not yet revealed the full design. However, according to the official images, the Zunjie S800 features a starry ceiling design inside the car, and there are only two seats in the rear row, suggesting a four-seat layout for the new car.
In terms of dimensions, the Zunjie S800 is positioned as a D+ class executive sedan with dimensions of 5480mm x 2000mm x 1536mm and a wheelbase of 3370mm, comparable to the Maybach S-Class and surpassing 99.99% of vehicles on the road.
The intelligent driving capability is also a significant selling point of the Zunjie S800. Huawei's intelligent driving capabilities need no further elaboration. It is reported that both the hardware and software of the Zunjie S800 are designed based on the L3 intelligent driving architecture, a capability that traditional luxury cars currently lack.
In terms of mechanical quality, the Zunjie S800 is built on the second-generation Tuling platform, achieving the "three intelligences" integration of intelligent driving, intelligent cockpit, and intelligent domain control. Meanwhile, according to the officials, the Zunjie S800 is built based on the concept of a "sixth-generation aircraft," adopting an 8S design standard and featuring super cruise, super maneuverability, super information perception, super privacy, sky-ground networking, AI assistance, active protection system, and super reliability. As for its actual performance, it is expected to be experienced in the future!
Final Thoughts
Chinese brands striving for higher-end markets is a growing trend among domestic auto brands. In the domestic market, there are already Chinese brands aiming for the million-yuan market, such as BYD's premium brand Yangwang and Hongqi. However, they tend to start with niche markets like off-road vehicles and supercars. It is rare to see a brand like Zunjie directly competing with established luxury brands like Rolls-Royce and Maybach, making it highly anticipated!
Judging from the current development trend, new energy vehicles are the general trend, and traditional ultra-luxury brands have yet to make significant strides in this area. If domestic brands can seize this opportunity for change, they have a chance to capture consumers' attention and reach the heights of brands like Rolls-Royce and Maybach in the fuel field in the new era.
